Monday 24th June - Speyer

It was so good to go up on deck on such a lovely day, surrounded by a large expanse of water.  The forecast suggested that we would reach 32c today, so we were thankful that there was quite a strong breeze to keep us cool.

No plans for today, so we just poodled around all morning, doing odd jobs - was too warm to be very active.

Not having any internet service was problematical as far as writing the blog is concerned and also for planning our stops on the river, as Henk only has a limited chart and we have a book, which is quite detailed but not as easy as reading a chart.  Skip has limited internet on his phone and since Henk has a different phone service, he can get more information so we are having to have briefing meetings to decide on our next move.

Skip prepared melon and ham for lunch, washed down with an unspecified cheeky little white number - not the best but quaffable!
