We left port at 10 a.m. on another sunny morning and enjoyed yet more beautiful scenery for an hour before reaching our first lock. We were waiting for an unusual amount of time, presuming that there was a problem with the lock. In the meantime, a commercial barge had arrived and only two cruisers were able to slot in behind him, which included Henk, but not us. In all we hovered around d for over two hours- nightmare !!
We fared much better in our second lock and arrived at the marina just after 4 p.m. as we had pre-cooked spaces we were able to get settled fairly quickly and down a very well deserved beer.
We had a very late lunch (cheese again!) and decided to take it easy for the rest of the day........all feeling tired!
